CANCENA 200 mg Injection is used as a chemo‑protective agent to prevent hemorrhagic cystitis (bleeding and inflammation of the bladder) caused by chemotherapy drugs such as ifosfamide or cyclophosphamide. Mesna works by detoxifying harmful metabolites (like acrolein) formed during chemotherapy, thus protecting the bladder without reducing the anticancer effects of the chemotherapy.
